With rapidly developing sales to Scottish and Northern Irish tipper operators, Thompsons is pleased to announce the appointment of Tony Stevenson as Sales Manager for all Thompsons Group activities in these markets.

Based in Selkirk, Tony is ideally placed to cover just about all Scotland’s key tipper operating areas, which include Ayrshire, Lockerbie, the Glasgow / Edinburgh Central Belt and up the A9 through Speyside to Inverness. Similarly, travelling to see customers in Northern Ireland is speedy and uncomplicated.

With some 18 years sales experience in the heavy truck and tipper businesses - in particular with MAN and Mercedes-Benz dealers, Edbro and bodybuilder CVE - Tony is already well known to a wide range of hauliers, construction companies and tipper operators.

"Thompsons is now a major force both in Scotland and Northern Ireland" says Tony, "and I really look forward to further developing the business. In particular, it’s the versatility of the product range that really impresses, with the opportunity to sell everything from a heavy duty Loadmaster tipper right through to a Charlton plant body.

In his spare time (which he admits will now be reduced still further) Tony is a keen fisherman, as well as being actively engaged in a wide range of field sports and country pursuits.
