Thompsons cut to the chase

The Thompsons Group have recently purchased a CNC laser cutting machine from the Belgium manufacturer LVD. This latest acquisition, totaling a value of over £300,000, is part of the groups constant investment program.

The Thompsons Group, which includes tipper manufacturers Thompsons and Charlton, tipping gear distributor Binotto and the groups service and after sales division Thompsons Spares and Service are totally dedicated to improving their products through constant investment in the latest machinery and technologies available.

As a company it is imperative that we ensure our products remain leading edge and this machine will further enhance our product development program.

The laser cutter will be based at Thompsons main manufacturing plant in Croydon and will service the other tipper manufacturing plant in Blackburn and Dover. The machine is capable of cutting 3000mm x 1500mm steel plate at a thickness of 20mm.
